Baked Pear & Black Beans:
For Lung Health in the Fall Season

(In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this simple recipe helps relieve cough, especially from dryness).

Ingredients:
Pear (any kind)
Rock Sugar
Black Beans (canned is easier)
Also Need:
2 Ramekins, Tin Foil, Water, & Oven set at 350

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Half & core the Pear
Place Each pear half into a ramekin and fill the inside of pear with black beans.
Fill bottom of ramekin with water (about ½ inch) and a teaspoon of rock sugar (into the water). Wrap the entire ramekin with foil and bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes.

This recipe helps to nourish the Lung. It treats/prevents cough, and keeps the lungs strong to help protect you from colds during the Fall. The black beans are also nourishing to the lungs, and are a great source of protein.
